://www.excitingcebu.com/frustrating-filipino-culture/ Recording video as I or my partner visit various place in Bogo City
the everyday life of most Filipinos
that live out in the province and highlighting Filipino culture
in the process..
Bogo City lies on the edge of the jungle in Northern Cebu
province. A fishing and farming area and the hub city of Northern
Bogo. It is growing fast. I have lived here for five years and have seen it come kicking and screaming its way into a more modern world.
Yet it has all that small town charm, friendly people, very low crime and some strange goings on. Like when the mentally challenged man dug up a body from the cemetery and took it to the park. Or when a couple of low level officials had a spat that resulted in gun fire and a grenade.
In this video, my partner went to her son's school and took video of the kids dancing. I didn't take that.

I blog about my life in the Philippines
as an American
expat. I love the Philippines but I don't give you hype. It isn't paradise but it isn't too far off either. The low cost of living brought me here and the loving Filipina
kept me here. Nothing
like a Filipina woman
I blog about Filipino culture a lot because it caused the differences caused a lot of misunderstandings in the beginning. Plus
so many had given me incorrect information about the Philippines.
Filipinos are great people overall. Very friendly especially out away from Cebu City
but they are friendly there as well. Often
living in poverty, they have huge smiles on their faces, avoid complaining and love to share what is there's. They are not all out to rob you blind and they often give us foreigners more respect than we deserve.
